পদ্ধতি / মাধ্যম / ধরন - method of / way of

Walking is the oldest

mode of transportation. (হাঁটা পরিবহনের সবচেয়ে পুরানো মাধ্যম।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: mode of = form of। দুটোর মানে কাছাকাছি: "ধরন / পদ্ধতি"। দুটোতেই "of" বসে।

কারো জন্য শোক করা - grieve for / feel sorrow for

The whole nation mourned for the martyrs. (গোটা জাতি শহীদদের জন্য শোক করলো।)

ঘুরে বেড়ানো / চারদিকে চলাফেরা করা - go from place to place

The tourists moved around the city. (পর্যটকরা শহরের চারদিকে ঘুরে বেড়ালো।)

মধ্য দিয়ে চলা / অতিক্রম করা - pass through / travel through

The train moved through the tunnel. (ট্রেনটি টানেলের মধ্য দিয়ে চললো।একটি বাক্যে দুটো)

কোনো কিছুর বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলন - protest against / campaign against

The students started a movement against corruption.(ছাত্ররা দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলন শুরু করলো।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: movement against = fight against। দুটোর মানে কাছাকাছি। দুটোতেই "against" বসে। "বিরুদ্ধে" মানেই AGAINST।

কারো কাছে বোধগম্য হওয়া - be understandable to someone

This rule does not make sense to me. (এই নিয়মটি আমার কাছে বোধগম্য হচ্ছে না।)

Rule Type: Fixed Phrase। "Make sense to" সবসময় একসাথে বসে।

প্রকৃতি / ধরন / স্বভাব - type of / character of

The nature of the problem is very complex. (সমস্যাটির প্রকৃতি খুবই জটিল।)

কোনো কিছুর জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় - needed for / required for

Water is necessary for survival. (বেঁচে থাকার জন্য পানি প্রয়োজনীয়।)

"necessary for" is the dependent preposition of the adjective. The other prepositions (like- in, on) appear after "necessary" only because of the change in locations.

Safety measures are necessary on construction sites. (নির্মাণ স্থানে নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা প্রয়োজনীয়।)

কোনো কিছুর জাল / নেটওয়ার্ক - system of / interconnected group of

Bangladesh has a vast network of rivers. (বাংলাদেশে নদীর বিশাল জাল আছে।)

কারো দিকে মাথা নাড়া (সাধারণ স্বীকৃতি) - moved head towards someone (casual acknowledgement)

She nodded at her friend across the room. (সে ঘরের ওপার থেকে তার বন্ধুর দিকে মাথা নাড়লো।)

কাউকে অভিবাদন জানাতে মাথা নাড়া (ভদ্র) - moved head to greet/acknowledge someone (polite)

The teacher nodded to the student. (শিক্ষক ছাত্রের দিকে মাথা নাড়লেন।)

Note: every major dictionary treats "nod to/at" as a single interchangeable entry, not as two distinct forms:

কোনো কিছুর জন্য বিখ্যাত - famous for / well-known for

Rajshahi is noted for its mangoes. (রাজশাহী আমের জন্য বিখ্যাত।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: noted for = celebrated for = famous for = renowned for। সবগুলোর মানে একই: "বিখ্যাত"। সবগুলোতে "for" বসে। "বিখ্যাত" মানেই সবসময় FOR।

সংখ্যা / পরিমাণ - quantity of / count of

A large number of students attended the seminar. (বিপুল সংখ্যক ছাত্র সেমিনারে উপস্থিত ছিলো।)

Rule Type: Fixed Phrase "A number of" সবসময় একসাথে বসে।

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: "A number of" = অনেক (many) "The number of" = সংখ্যাটি (the count)

কোনো কিছু থেকে পুষ্টি - nourishment from / food value from

We get nutrition from fruits and vegetables. (আমরা ফলমূল আর শাকসবজি থেকে পুষ্টি পাই।)

কোনো জায়গায় বা সময়ে ঘটা - happen in / take place in

Floods often occur in Bangladesh during the monsoon. (বর্ষাকালে বাংলাদেশে প্রায়ই বন্যা হয়।)

কোনো কিছুর সাথে ঘটা - happen along with / appear with

Fever often occurs with body pain. (জ্বরের সাথে প্রায়ই শরীর ব্যথা হয়।)

কোনো সময়কালে ঘটা - happen over a period of time

These changes occurred over many years. (এই পরিবর্তনগুলো বহু বছর ধরে ঘটেছে।)

অন্যতম / একটি - among several / a member of a group

Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries. (বাংলাদেশ সবচেয়ে ঘনবসতিপূর্ণ দেশগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম।)

Rule Type: Fixed Phrase। "One of" সবসময় একসাথে বসে, এবং এর পরে plural noun বসে।
