কোনো কারণে ঘটা / কোনো কিছুর ফলে হওয়া - be caused by / happen because of

Many diseases result from poor hygiene. (অনেক রোগ অপরিচ্ছন্নতার ফলে হয়।)

কোনো ফলাফল হওয়া - lead to / cause

Careless driving results in accidents. (অসাবধান গাড়ি চালানো দুর্ঘটনার কারণ হয়।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: result from = কারণ বোঝায়। "কিসের থেকে" ফলাফল হলো, তাই FROM। "come of" এর কাছাকাছি মানে।

পিছু হটা / সরে আসা - withdraw from / move back from

The army retreated from the battlefield. (সেনাবাহিনী যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে পিছু হটলো।)

কোনো কিছু নিয়ে ফিরে আসা - come back with / bring back

He returned with good news. (সে সুখবর নিয়ে ফিরে আসলো।)

কোনো ক্ষেত্রে বিপ্লব / আমূল পরিবর্তন - major change in / transformation in

The internet brought a revolution in communication. (ইন্টারনেট যোগাযোগে বিপ্লব এনেছে।)

কোনো কিছুতে ভূমিকা - part played in / function in

Education plays a vital role in national development. (জাতীয় উন্নয়নে শিক্ষা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।)

গড়িয়ে নিচে কোনো কিছুর মধ্যে পড়া - move downward into / tumble into

The ball rolled down into the ditch. (বলটি গড়িয়ে নিচে খাদের মধ্যে পড়লো।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: "roll down into" তিনটি অংশে ভাগ করো: roll = গড়ানো down = নিচে into = মধ্যে একসাথে: গড়িয়ে নিচে কোনো কিছুর মধ্যে পড়া।

কোনো কিছুর নিয়ম - regulations of / laws of

We must follow the rules of grammar. (আমাদের ব্যাকরণের নিয়ম মেনে চলতে হবে।)

পেছনে ছোটা / তাড়া করা - chase / pursue

The dog ran after the cat. (কুকুরটি বিড়ালের পেছনে ছুটলো।)

Rule Type: Phrasal Verb। "Run after" সবসময় একসাথে বসে।

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: run after = hanker after। দুটোর মানে কাছাকাছি। "পেছনে ছোটা" মানেই AFTER।

কোনো কিছুর কারণ - cause for / explanation for

What is the reason for your absence? (তোমার অনুপস্থিতির কারণ কী?)

কোনো কিছুর পেছনের কারণ - cause behind / hidden cause

The reason behind his success is hard work. (তার সাফল্যের পেছনের কারণ হলো কঠোর পরিশ্রম।)

N.B. Both typically mean the same thing

কোনো জায়গা থেকে জাহাজে যাত্রা করা - travel by boat from

The ship sailed from Chittagong port. (জাহাজটি চট্টগ্রাম বন্দর থেকে যাত্রা করলো।)

কোনো গন্তব্যে জাহাজে যাত্রা করা - travel by boat to a destination

The ship sailed to Singapore. (জাহাজটি সিঙ্গাপুরে যাত্রা করলো।)

কোনো বন্দরে প্রবেশ করা - enter a port or harbour by boat

The ship sailed into the harbour safely. (জাহাজটি নিরাপদে বন্দরে প্রবেশ করলো।)

কোনো জাহাজ বা নৌকার পাল - the sails belonging to a ship/boat

The sails of the boat were torn by the storm. (ঝড়ে নৌকার পাল ছিঁড়ে গেলো।)

কোনো কিছুর উপর বসা - seated on / was sitting on

The old man sat on a wooden bench. (বৃদ্ধ লোকটি একটি কাঠের বেঞ্চে বসলেন।)

কোনো কিছুতে সন্তুষ্ট - pleased with / content with

The teacher is satisfied with the student's performance. (শিক্ষক ছাত্রের কর্মক্ষমতায় সন্তুষ্ট।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: satisfied with = pleased with = content with। তিনটার মানে একই: "সন্তুষ্ট"। তিনটাতেই "with" বসে। "কী নিয়ে" সন্তুষ্ট, তাই WITH।

কোনো কিছু থেকে বাঁচানো / রক্ষা করা - rescue from / protect from

The fireman saved the child from the burning house. (দমকলকর্মী জ্বলন্ত বাড়ি থেকে শিশুটিকে বাঁচালো।)

মনে রাখার সহজ উপায়: save from = protect from = rescue from = escape from। সবগুলোতে "from" বসে। "কিসের থেকে" বাঁচানো / রক্ষা করা, তাই FROM।
