I am accustomed to waking up early. (আমি ভোরে ঘুম থেকে ওঠায় অভ্যস্ত।)

Please add sugar to the tea. (অনুগ্রহ করে চায়ে চিনি যোগ করো।)

Don't forget to add in the transportation cost. (পরিবহন খরচ অন্তর্ভুক্ত করতে ভুলো না।)

These numbers don't add up. (এই সংখ্যাগুলোর হিসাব মিলছে না।)

The expenses add up to 5000 taka. (খরচ মোট ৫০০০ টাকা হয়।)

The doctor will attend to you shortly. (ডাক্তার শীঘ্রই তোমার যত্ন নেবেন।)

The nurse attended on the patient. (নার্স রোগীর সেবা করলেন।)

She is always attentive to her students' needs. (সে সবসময় তার ছাত্রদের প্রয়োজনের প্রতি মনোযোগী।)

He is averse to taking risks. (সে ঝুঁকি নিতে অনিচ্ছুক।)

The project is beset with difficulties. (প্রকল্পটি সমস্যায় ঘেরা।)

The small kingdom was beset by enemies on all sides and struggled to defend itself. (ছোট রাজ্যটি চারদিক থেকে শত্রুদের দ্বারা অবরুদ্ধ ছিল এবং নিজেকে রক্ষা করতে সংগ্রাম করছিল।)

Modern English এ "beset WITH" এবং "beset BY" প্রায় সম্পূর্ণভাবে interchangeable (একই অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়)!

The country is beset with poverty, and the people are beset by fear of the future. (দেশটি দারিদ্র্যে জর্জরিত (WITH), আর মানুষ ভবিষ্যতের ভয় দ্বারা আক্রান্ত (BY)।)

Soldiers bleed for their country. (সৈনিকরা তাদের দেশের জন্য রক্ত দেয়।)

His nose is bleeding from the injury. (তার নাক থেকে আঘাতের জন্য রক্ত পড়ছে।)

“Bleed to death” is a commonly used phrase. It is not a preposition. It is a verb phrase.

He bled to death from the wound. (সে ক্ষত থেকে রক্তক্ষরণে মারা গেল।)

English: The soldier was bleeding from his chest, his mother's heart bled for him from far away, and sadly, he bled to death before help arrived.

(সৈনিকের বুক থেকে রক্ত পড়ছিলো (FROM), তার মায়ের হৃদয় দূর থেকে তার জন্য কাঁদছিলো (FOR), আর দুঃখজনকভাবে, সাহায্য আসার আগেই সে রক্তক্ষরণে মারা গেলো (TO DEATH)।)

He is boastful of his wealth. (সে তার সম্পদ নিয়ে বড়াই করে।)

She is boastful about her achievements. (সে তার সফলতা নিয়ে বড়াই করে।)

Modern English এ "boastful of এবং "boastful about" প্রায় সম্পূর্ণভাবে interchangeable (একই অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়)!

কিন্তু modern usage এ:

boastful about → more common

boastful of → slightly formal

Rahim is boastful of his rich family, and he is also boastful about his high marks in every exam. (রহিম তার ধনী পরিবার নিয়ে বড়াই করে (OF), আর সে প্রতিটি পরীক্ষায় তার উচ্চ নম্বর নিয়েও বড়াই করে (ABOUT)।)

I borrowed money from my friend. (আমি আমার বন্ধুর কাছ থেকে টাকা ধার নিয়েছি।)

She burst into tears. (সে হঠাৎ কেঁদে ফেলল।)

He burst out laughing. (সে হঠাৎ হেসে ফেলল।)

My heart is bursting with joy. (আমার হৃদয় আনন্দে পূর্ণ।)

“Burst open” is not a prepositional phrase. It is a verb + adjective combination.

The door burst open suddenly. (দরজাটা হঠাৎ সজোরে খুলে গেল।)

When the door burst open with a loud noise, the baby burst into tears, the mother burst out crying too, and the father was bursting with anger at the broken lock.

(যখন দরজাটা জোরে শব্দে হঠাৎ খুলে গেলো (BURST OPEN), শিশুটি কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়লো (BURST INTO tears), মাও কাঁদতে শুরু করলেন (BURST OUT crying), আর বাবা ভাঙা তালা দেখে রাগে ফেটে পড়ছিলেন (BURSTING WITH anger)।)

The balance of power has shifted. (ক্ষমতার ভারসাম্য পরিবর্তিত হয়েছে।)

She can balance on one foot. (সে এক পায়ে ভারসাম্য রাখতে পারে।)

You need to balance work with rest. (তোমাকে কাজের সাথে বিশ্রামের ভারসাম্য রাখতে হবে।)

Balance the costs against the benefits. (খরচের সাথে লাভের তুলনা করো।)

I try to balance between family and work. (আমি পরিবার আর কাজের মধ্যে ভারসাম্য রাখার চেষ্টা করি।)

A student must maintain a balance of energy, balance on his chair while studying, balance his studies with fun, balance the effort against the result, and always balance between school life and family life.

(একজন ছাত্রকে শক্তির ভারসাম্য (OF) বজায় রাখতে হবে, পড়ার সময় চেয়ারের উপর ভারসাম্য (ON) রাখতে হবে, পড়াশোনার সাথে আনন্দের সামঞ্জস্য (WITH) রাখতে হবে, চেষ্টার বিপরীতে ফলাফল তুলনা (AGAINST) করতে হবে, আর সবসময় স্কুল জীবন আর পারিবারিক জীবনের মধ্যে ভারসাম্য (BETWEEN) রাখতে হবে।)

Students benefit from good teaching. (ছাত্ররা ভালো শিক্ষা থেকে লাভবান হয়।)

He benefited by hard work. (সে কঠোর পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে লাভবান হয়েছে।)

The poor villagers benefited from the government's free food program, and they also benefited by learning new farming skills.

(গরিব গ্রামবাসীরা সরকারের বিনামূল্যে খাদ্য কর্মসূচি থেকে উপকৃত হলো (FROM), আর তারা নতুন কৃষি দক্ষতা শেখার মাধ্যমেও উপকৃত হলো (BY)।)

I was born in Dhaka. (আমি ঢাকায় জন্মেছি।)

She was born into a poor family. (সে একটা গরিব পরিবারে জন্মেছে।)

This idea was born of necessity. (এই ধারণা প্রয়োজন থেকে জন্মেছে।)

He was born to wealthy parents. (সে ধনী বাবা-মায়ের ঘরে জন্মেছে।)

He was born with a talent for music. (সে সংগীতের প্রতিভা নিয়ে জন্মেছে।)

Karim was born in Dhaka in 2005, born to a kind father and a loving mother, born into a middle-class family, born with a sharp mind, and his love for learning was born of his parents' encouragement.

(করিম ঢাকায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেছে (IN), একটি মধ্যবিত্ত পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছে (INTO), তার প্রতিভা তার মায়ের উৎসাহের ফলে জন্ম নিয়েছে (OF), আর সে সঙ্গীতের প্রতিভা নিয়ে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছে (WITH)।)

This key belongs with that lock. (এই চাবিটা ওই তালার সাথে যায়।)

This old photo belongs to my grandmother, it belongs in the family album, and it belongs with the other memories of her childhood.

(এই পুরানো ছবিটি আমার দাদির (TO), এটি পারিবারিক অ্যালবামে থাকা উচিত (IN), আর এটি তাঁর শৈশবের অন্যান্য স্মৃতির সাথে থাকা উচিত (WITH)।)

The government took action against corruption. (সরকার দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে।)

We must take action on this issue. (আমাদের এই বিষয়ে পদক্ষেপ নিতে হবে।)

The headmaster took action on the students' complaint and then took strict action against the dishonest teacher.
