Story
Nambi was an old, illiterate storyteller who lived in a temple at the edge of a remote village named Somal. He had no possessions and did not even know his own age, but he had one gift - he could make up stories. Every month he would light a lamp at the trunk of the banyan tree in front of the temple as a signal, and the entire village would gather under the tree to listen. He believed his stories were a gift from the goddess Shakti, through whom he spoke.
This went on for years. Then, one day, he could not continue a story. It happened again and again. After some time, he called the villagers together and told them that the goddess had taken her gift back and that those were his last words on earth. Then, he went back into the temple and never spoke again for the rest of his life.
