Story
Long ago, there lived a Sultan in a country. He wanted to appoint an honest man as his tax collector. Not knowing how to find the right person, he asked for the advice of his wise counselors.
Following their advice, he invited applications for the post. A number of people applied. The applicants were called to meet the Sultan one by one. On their way to the Sultan, they came through a passage where gold coins were kept.
When they all arrived, the Sultan asked them to dance. All the applicants blushed and refused - except one. The one who had not touched the gold had nothing to hide and danced freely.
And so, the Sultan found the desired man.

বহু বছর আগে এক দেশে একজন সুলতান বাস করতেন। তিনি তাঁর রাজ্যের জন্য একজন সৎ কর আদায়কারী নিয়োগ করতে চাইলেন। কিন্তু সৎ মানুষ খুঁজে পাওয়ার উপায় না জেনে তিনি তাঁর জ্ঞানী উপদেষ্টাদের পরামর্শ চাইলেন।
উপদেষ্টাদের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী তিনি পদের জন্য আবেদন আহ্বান করলেন। অনেক মানুষ আবেদন করল। আবেদনকারীদের একে একে সুলতানের সাথে দেখা করতে বলা হলো। সুলতানের কাছে আসার পথে তারা এমন একটি করিডোর দিয়ে আসল যেখানে সোনার মুদ্রা রাখা ছিল।
সবাই এসে পৌঁছালে সুলতান তাদের নাচতে বললেন। একজন ছাড়া বাকি সব আবেদনকারী লজ্জায় লাল হয়ে নাচতে অস্বীকার করল। যে সোনার মুদ্রা পকেটে পুরেছিল, সে নাচলে মুদ্রা ঝনঝন করত বা পড়ে যেত — তাই সে নাচতে পারল না। কিন্তু যে সৎ মানুষ কিছুই নেয়নি, তার লুকানোর কিছু ছিল না।
এভাবেই সুলতান তাঁর কাঙ্ক্ষিত মানুষটিকে খুঁজে পেলেন।
