Story
Crows are ugly to look at, and because of this, they are often unhappy. Once, a particular crow got a chance to feel beautiful. One day, the crow found some beautiful peacock feathers in a jungle. He took the feathers one by one and stuck them in among his own feathers. He looked at himself and became glad and proud because he was no longer ugly like the other crows.
So, he made up his mind to go to the peacocks and live with them. Upon seeing him, the peacocks immediately understood that he was just a crow in the guise of a peacock. They attacked him, pulled out the stolen feathers, and drove him away. When he returned to his fellow crows, they also drove him away. The crow realized his fault and promised that he would never be false or over-ambitious again.

কাক দেখতে কুৎসিত এবং এই কারণেই তারা সাধারণত অসন্তুষ্ট থাকে। একবার, একটি কাক সুন্দর হওয়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছিল। একদিন, কাকটি বনের মধ্যে কয়েকটি সুন্দর ময়ূরের পালক খুঁজে পেল। সে পালকগুলো একে একে তুলে নিজের পালকের ফাঁকে গুঁজে দিল। সে নিজের দিকে তাকাল এবং ভীষণ আনন্দিত ও গর্বিত হলো, কারণ সে আর অন্য কাকদের মতো কুৎসিত ছিল না।
তাই, সে ময়ূরদের কাছে যাওয়ার এবং তাদের সাথে বসবাস করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল। তাকে দেখামাত্রই ময়ূররা বুঝতে পারল যে সে ময়ূরের ছদ্মবেশে আসলে একটি কাক। তারা তাকে আক্রমণ করল, তার গোঁজা পালকগুলো টেনে ছিঁড়ে ফেলল এবং তাকে তাড়িয়ে দিল। যখন সে তার নিজের জাতের কাকদের কাছে ফিরে এলো, তখন তারাও তাকে তাড়িয়ে দিল। কাকটি নিজের ভুল বুঝতে পারল এবং প্রতিজ্ঞা করল যে সে আর কখনো কৃত্রিমতার আশ্রয় নেবে না কিংবা অতি-উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষী হবে না।
